We’re in that sweet spot between spring and summer when our wardrobes are expanding into wide color palettes, and this week’s SNX offerings truly capture that spirit. Whether its the bright red, eye-catching design of Nike’s Gato silhouette or the Italian pool-inspired Lidos, our favorite shoe brands brought bright colorways that wouldn’t look out of place in any spring or summer wardrobes. Roll up to any party this summer rocking one of the pairs from this list and you’re guaranteed to turn heads.
Let’s be real though, we know why you’re here. Supreme has taken a break from designing paper clips, and Juul pods, or whatever the hell else the brand has been up to, to collaborate with everyone’ first favorite sneaker brand Vans. It’s a big week for streetwear enthusiasts everywhere, with that drop clearly leading the way, but that doesn’t mean you should sleep on this week’s other offerings.
Here are the dopes shoes out this week!
Diadora END. N9002 Lido
What’s this, a new sneaker brand joining SNX? Introducing Diadora, which has linked up with one of our favorite British retailers, END. for the annoyingly named N9002 Lido. Inspired by the open-air swimming pools of Northeast Italy, the Lidos, feature an all leather upper, white EVA midsole, and a contrasting grey mudguard against a swimming pool-toned colorway.
These are straight up dope! While swimming pools and leather don’t exactly mix well, we’re all about this colorway and would jump at the opportunity to rock these at any upcoming summer parties we plan on attending — so long as we’re able to keep our distance from the pool.
The Diadora N9002 Lido are set to drop exclusively through END. Clothing on May 11th where a pair will retail for $245.
New Balance Fresh Foam LAZR
You don’t have to follow soccer to be a fan of New Balance’s new, Liverpool FC-Inspired, red Lazr v2s, but it sure helps. If you aren’t a personal fan of Liverpool, maybe these will inspire rage? I’m not sure, I’m just here for the shoes. Featuring a breathable red-upper for increased airflow, a cushioned sockliner, and an ultra-comfortable Fresh Foam outsole, the LAZR v2s was made with performance in mind.
What we’re digging on the most with this pair though is the silhouette, which is sleek and aerodynamic. It’s a performance-based shoe that understands that looking good is just as important as functionality.
The New Balance Fresh Foam LAZR v2s will drop sometime this month, but preorders are available now on New Balance’s site, where the shoes will retail for $109.99.
Air Jordan 1 Hyper Pink
Here is the thing with the Jordan 1, anyone who loves high-top sneakers want a pair, but the problem is finally deciding on a colorway. Do you go with an all-white affair, black and red, a fun multi-color iteration, or a cool blue colorway? The ultimate point is, that the Air Jordan 1 always has so many dope colorways that you’ll inevitably get anxiety about whether on not this is “the one.”
It’s like dating in your twenties, only it’s a shoe, so it’s nothing like dating. You weirdo.
Enter the Air Jordan 1 Hyper Pink, premium pebbled leather, “Bred” inspired color-blocking, a thin wrap-around swoosh — everything you could ever love about an Air Jordan 1. But we have a bone to pick about the name. We’re digging on the color, no doubt, but “Hyper Pink?” There is absolutely nothing hyper about this shade of pink, they should’ve called it something like “chill-ass pink.”
The Air Jordan 1 Hyper Pink is out now for a retail price of $160. Pick up a pair at the Nike online store.
Nike SB Gato
The Nike SB Gato is one of the brand’s dopest silhouettes and it’s back just in time to give you a sweet late spring or summer look. Releasing in an eye-catching University Red colorway, the Gato features leather paneling across a mesh upper, with suede toe caps, and a striking large white Swoosh and Nike branding at the heel.
We’re totally in love with these, in fact, if Supreme didn’t have to suck all the air out of the room, we would’ve given these babies the coveted number one spot!
The Nike SB Gato is available now at select skate wear retailers where a pair will run you $85.
Supreme Vans Diamond Plate
Attention all hype-beasts! Stop everything you’re doing, a new Supreme drop is on the horizon. This time, every streetwear enthusiasts favorite label, Supreme, will be teaming up with Vans for a new take on their Sk8-Hi Pro and Slip-On Pro silhouettes. The high-top model easily takes the cake here, so expect that one to sell out fastest. The High-top makes use of suede panels and a canvas upper, with a diamond plated Supreme graphics throughout. The Slip-On Pro silhouette is much more subdued, with an all canvas upper and a leather collar and lining.
Both the high-top and slip-on silhouettes come in either yellow, red, or white colorways, with the Hi Pro’s making use of brown, navy, and black on the suede accents.
The Supreme Vans Sk8-Hi Pro and Slip-on Pro Diamond Plate will hit Supreme’s online store, as well as physical stores in New York, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, London, and Paris on May 9. A price has yet to have been set.
