Nobel Prize winner who slept through the big call gets the news in adorable 2 a.m. video

Winning the Nobel Prize sounds like a fairytale so huge and momentous it couldn't possibly be true. So much so, in fact, that one of this year's laureates literally ignored the call telling him he'd won. It was down to Paul Milgrom's co-recipient and neighbour Robert Wilson to bang on his door at 2:15 am on Monday, waking him up with the news they'd been awarded the 2020 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. 

The moment was captured on the Nest Cam outside Milgrom's home in Stanford, California. Accompanied by his wife Mary, Wilson repeatedly knocked and rang the doorbell, rousing Milgrom to inform him of their accomplishment. Read more...

Kid draws a hilarious family portrait, featuring his mother on her period

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. SEE ALSO: James Corden tests out gymnastics class for his son and is instantly showed up by children "I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that my 5 year old son knows this," Rohleder wrote.  "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'"  Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail .
