United Flight 328. Twenty minutes after a Boeing 777 took off from Denver International Airport on Saturday, one of its engines exploded. While the pilots were able to safely land the plane, which was supposed to fly to Honolulu, debris from the scorched motor plummeted thousands of feet below, forcing Broomfield residents to take cover. No one was hurt by the falling pieces. (CNN)
COVID-19 and air pollution. A recent study from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment revealed what many had already expected: People living in areas with higher air pollution are at a greater risk of coronavirus infection, as well as being hospitalized or dying from the disease.
