UPAYAN CHATTERJEE | Into The Light"Into the Light revolves around the day to day activities, while trying to find the greater manifestation, hidden amidst those. It is all about how the lights fall, about the shadows they cast and about bringing forth their stories, within, which often go unheard, while also trying to look through the looming clouds into the Sun, hiding behind them." |

MUHAMMAD FARHAN BIN OSMAN THE WALL, SOLDIERS AND THE PEOPLE. "I have always believed that nothing is one-sided; it takes two hands to clap. This photo essay can be a view from many angles, and every perspective is neither right nor wrong." ~ Muhammed Farhan Osman The Israeli West Bank barrier or wall or fence is a separation barrier in the West Bank or the Green Line. Israel calls it a security barrier against terrorism, while Palestinians call it a racials egregation or apartheid wall. DAFNA YOSHA 2 PROJECTS The protest | Bridges of protest "I mostly find the peoples' souls and hearts reflected in their eyes and the small universal gestures to understand the new exciting and emotional story without words." "The protest against the thirty-fifth Israeli government began on May 9, 2020, close to the government's formation. The protest deals with several prominent issues, including a protest against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a demand for his resignation due to the indictments against him, and a demand to establish a commission of inquiry into the submarine case in which he is involved. Besides, a protest against the erosion of state institutions emphasizes harming the rule of law system. " - Dafna Yosha

ANAT SHUSHAN Covid -19 AS A RULE CHANGER Covid changed the rules of the game. It changed the world. Its effects, not only the medical ones, will continue to accompany us for many years ahead. Some things will never be the same as before. But after getting to know this life-changing new player and getting over the primary and terrifying start, we all did our best to find a way, some way, to get back to everyday, ordinary life. Whatever normal means. Being a street photographer in the past year was not easy; it was quite a challenge. Just like getting used to seeing people in masks was hard, it was even harder to shoot people this way because all the facial expressions, which are so crucial in photos, were gone. "I find my passion in street and documentary photography. Having the ability to capture authentic human moments, stories, memories that a second later will not be there anymore is very exciting and rewarding. I usually use a 16mm prime lens, which enables me to get the whole scene in the frame and puts the viewer right in the story." -ANAT SHUSHAN

LIL STEINBERG INNOCENT FACES "I wondered in the streets of Bnei Brak when I saw those kids hiding beyond the filthy windows of a kindergarten, watching the outside world and gluing their face to the dirty glass. I am not sure what attracted me more: the glass's structure or the innocence and melancholy of their faces, and their strong expression, but I was mesmerized by the scene!" "Street photography is actually one of the most challenging photography genres, as you can not tell your model what to do, nor can you choose the light! You have to think about composition, build up a story, anticipate, look at everything around you, and sometimes wait for hours to have your frame...and on top of it, it is very physical!" - LIL STEINBERG

YIGAL FELIKS UNTITLED BY UNDEFINED PHOTOGRAPHER "I created these photographs with my students during portraiture class in the Reut High school of Arts (formerly Wizo) in Haifa, Israel. I find these photographs unique for they show the trust that might be gained between people in general and between a teacher and teenagers in particular. We are looking for something familiar yet indescribable, wishing for a possibility that will emerge from the relationships between the people on set and the photographer: emotions, intimacy, personality, etc. As we work, we influence each other connecting without words, only minor instructions. Each personality must find its way to deal with the situation and find its subjective place. "

YUVAL ZVI ARMED WITH A FLAG AND A CAMERA Most of the photos were taken in Jerusalem, near The Prime Minister's residence in Balfour St., during protests against Netanyahu's corruption. In 2020, for more than 30 weeks, demonstrators had gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Residence and nearby the "France Square" ("Paris Square") in Jerusalem. The protests against Benjamin Netanyahu ("Bibi") arose following the Coronavirus pandemic in Israel and the renewed trial of Benjamin Netanyahu for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. "My wife and I have made this trip, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, almost every week. Sometimes even twice a week. My wife is armed with a flag and I with a camera. No flash, very high ISO, using the street lighting. Just my small fuji X-T3 and 18-55 basic lens. I am not a photojournalist. I am a protester with a camera." -YUVAL ZVI
