I talked with Neil Mohan, its chief product officer, about how the pandemic has impacted what people want out of YouTube in its myriad forms and some major new features that are on their way, including the service’s answer to TikTok. We also discussed YouTube’s approach to dealing with harmful content such as COVID-19 hoaxes and videos relating to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
