On Thursday, President Biden announced an ambitious new goal of administering 200 million COVID-19 shots by the end of his first 100 days in office. The uptick in available supply—and proportional decrease in willing-but-not-yet-vaccinated individuals—make efforts to combat vaccine hesitancy all the more pressing.

While recent polling suggests that the number of vaccine-hesitant individuals is falling, a significant number of people say they won’t get vaccinated (15%) or plan to “wait and see” (22%), according to a February Kaiser Family Foundation poll

Over the past week, Fast Company has been exploring the roots of this hesitancy and misinformation's role in supercharging it in a series called Doubting the Dose.

We’ve looked at everything from Instagram’s role in spreading conspiracy theories, to vaccine hesitancy rates among essential workers, to efforts to vaccinate Latinx residents in New York. Read more here.
