The White House says it will make the U.S. economy more fair. Here's what you need to know ahead of the 9 p.m. ET speech, which will air live on NPR's member stations, websites and apps. Today, a court is considering whether to allow the release of body camera footage from the police killing of Black man last week in Elizabeth City, N.C. Brown was shot in the back of the head, his family's attorneys said Tuesday, citing an independent autopsy. Michigan has the highest COVID-19 case rate in the country. Some hospitals are overflowing with cases, including high numbers of younger adult and child patients.
