Invitation to publish in Spotlight Magazine

We are emailing you today to let you know that submissions for the next issue of Spotlight Magazine are now open.

Spotlight is a both a digital and printed magazine. Each new issue includes 80 - 90 artists working in a variety of media. We focus on telling the story of what art looks like today, through investigating different perspectives and styles. Our magazine has been very well received, with each issue having a projected readership of over 75,000 readers. The digital magazine is published on our website and Issuu where our previous magazines have a bit under 1 million reads. The printed magazine can be ordered directly from our website (A4 size with a full color, gloss 200gr cover and 115gr paper for the inside pages.)

Publication Details

Please note that unlike our other projects, this is not a contest. We only invite select artists to publish in this magazine and this is the first round of our open call.

The cost to publish in Spotlight Magazine is 164 Euro for 1 page.

The deadline to submit your material is June 25, 2021.

This magazine will be released online and in print July/August 2021.

Each page in the magazine includes 1 large image of work, details about the work and a short artist statement. The magazine has a well researched, image-centric design which provides an elegant frame for the artwork. Published artists will have the chance to add the entire pdf on their personal website or share it via email. The print magazine is available for direct order.

After you have successfully submitted the form you will receive a confirmation email. Kid draws a hilarious family portrait, featuring his mother on her period

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. SEE ALSO: James Corden tests out gymnastics class for his son and is instantly showed up by children "I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that my 5 year old son knows this," Rohleder wrote.  "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'"  Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail .
