BREAKING: US to maintain border closure at least until Aug. 21

Will not follow Canada's lead in permitting non-essential visits
US maintains border closure

The US has decided to keep its border with Canada closed to non-essential travel at least until August 21st.  It cited as the reason the continued risk of COVID contagion within the US and globally.  
Canada announced this week that as of August 9th, it will permit Americans to enter the country for non-essential visits.
