Engineers from Harvard and MIT say they've created a face mask that can detect the coronavirus while being worn. The masks have tiny disposable sensors that could potentially be altered to detect other viruses as well. The researchers were able to use freeze-dried synthetic biology sensors to detect virus material. Adults over 50 will be eligible to get a COVID-19 booster shot in the U.K., according to the BBC. The National Health Service in the U.K. announced that people should consider getting a vaccine booster before winter, when experts fear COVID-19 cases could increase.
