AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH GEMMY WOUD-BINNENDIJK BY JOSÉ JEULAND "Emotion is the most significant starting point in every image I shoot; I intended to be driven to darker / heavier emotions than a person would generally show to the outside world. I think it's a combination of expression, beauty, and a hidden message that can be interpreted in many ways, recognizable in different forms for every individual." - GEMMY WOUD-BINNENDIJK Gemmy Woud-Binnendijk is a Dutch fine-art photographer. Her work is inspired by Old Master painters. Learning about art history from a young age, Woud-Binnendijk combines the Chiaroscuro principle and the Sfumato technique to emulate the traditional manner of the Dutch golden age masters like Rembrandt and Vermeer.

AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH JOSÉ JEULAND. COCO CREATIVE STUDIO | SINGAPORE In the heart of Singapore, with breathtaking views and vast photography space, you will find one of the largest photography production studios, a new establishment by no other than José Jeuland, Lens Magazine's leading photojournalist. It's a pleasure to feature an intimate interview with José Jeuland, the driving force behind this success, for understanding the steps and the journey from being a freelance photographer to the founder of the most successful agency in Singapore. "One year before the COVID19 pandemic started, the number of requests I received increased considerably. During the pandemic, the demand rise, which leads me to secure more job opportunities. For many photographers, the converse happened. It was crazy and unbelievable. At one point, across six months, I was shooting every day and sleeping less than four hours in total each day. I was only recently able to take my first weekend away from work, the first time since a year and a half ago."

NOMADS | THE HUMAN ESSENCE. BY EMILIO BARRIONUEV "I'm trying to express a deeper place of emotions through my work. I have gone from emotional to social portraits, carrying out more profound subjects such as 'breast cancer,' 'rural women,' 'nursing homes,' the 'Saharawi people,' etc. From a combination of emotional-documentary portraits, I hope the viewer is witnessing a deeper story behind every image. I hope that by exposing the stories behind the figures, I'm able to help in some way to solve the problems." "I am a self-taught photographer. Dramatic and emotional portraits are my specialty. I gained experience in photography in the past few years by exhibiting my work in several international galleries after I have been granted the Lux 2017 Awards with my NOMADS project and joined several Masterclasses dedicated to photography style." - EMILIO BARRIONUEV

COLORFUL UNIQUENESS BY IAN ROSS PETTIGREW "I search out interesting faces, first and foremost. There's beauty in every face. But uniqueness is more valued to me. That unique quality helps determine the colors used, and ultimately the feeling of the atmosphere of the final photo. And props helps, too, sometimes." - Ian Ross Pettigrew "I'm a Graphic Designer who happens to take photos. Over 25 years as an Art Director makes a difference in my work. Of course, you can learn technical skills as a photographer, but having a great eye is what really matters. I was lucky to work with many great photographers and was mentored by some great creative minds in the advertising industry - it taught me how to work with people, connect with my subjects, and, most importantly, see things with a designer's eye."

PORTRAITURE'S POWER TO PENETRATE THE HUMAN SOUL BY GEOFFREY ANSEL AGRONS "As a diagnostic radiologist, I spent my workdays interpreting 'photographs' of the human interior. Each study was approached as a puzzle with a potential solution, and each analysis was a quest for certainty."- Geoffrey Agrons Geoffrey Ansel Agrons is a Philadelphia-based artist who graduated from the Richard Stockton State College in Pomona, New Jersey, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. His photographs have been exhibited in multiple venues throughout the country as well as Tokyo since 2008 and have been included in several international publications. His work is in the permanent collection at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado, and The Wittliff Collections at Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas.

GRAVITATE TOWARDS THE HUMAN FACE BY TYLER BENSINGER "Whenever possible, I ask permission to take portraits. To my delight, the answer is usually yes. Why I gravitate towards the human face is simple – it's always unique and surprising, and most importantly, mysterious. Who is this person really? I may know them intimately or may have just met them, but the mask is always there. " Tyler Bensinger was born and raised in Los Angeles and has lived in the city for almost his entire life. For over thirty years, the streets of the world have been his subject. Los Angeles, however, is the touchstone that lies at the core of his work. As a writer by profession, photography has been an outlet to let the images tell a story that seems more direct and honest than anything words have been able to convey.

MAGICAL PORTRAITS | MY LITTLE PIECE OF PARADISE BY FABIANA CICATIELLO "I started by shooting children, which is one of the most challenging subjects, and this helped me a lot in the speed to catch the right moment. Children are delicate subjects, and you just have to wait for them to give you their beautiful looks. However, when I shoot adults, I first arrange a small meeting to better get to know each other." "Photography has also helped me a lot to explore hidden aspects of my soul; I have often shot myself to find courage, love in myself, and sometimes to let out emotions that I was hiding in my inner self. As a result, after each session, I feel drained and serene; above all, I feel happy because shooting makes me smile and feel good. I get inspired by my surroundings and the people I know by my life experiences. The lockdown was a tough experience for my artistic side, but from another point of view, it helped me to study and improve."
