The Powerhouse has announced that Sydney Design Week 2021 will focus on the timely theme of Hyperconnectivity. The free program of online discussions provides a platform for audiences to connect with Australian and international designers and thinkers. Among the highlights is a presentation by Paris-based designer Ronan Bouroullec on urban design, as well as reflections from Marc Newson on his most recognisable product designs. 'Imagining Music' shines the spotlight on artist and designer Jonathan Zawada, whose vivid work (pictured) includes cover art and music videos for the likes of Flume, The Avalanches and Dua Lipa.

The recipient of the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship in 2020, Charlie Ingemar Harding paints intimate scenes from life that move freely between figurative and abstract, past and future, to evoke a mood of spontaneity and quietude. 'Amongst the heat of the races' is the artist's first solo exhibition at This Is No Fantasy gallery in Melbourne and includes works such as Tickets (pictured) that hark back to a trip to the Alice Springs camel races.
