Eczema advice
Anyone who has experienced the skin condition eczema will know only too well the discomfort and self-consciousness it can cause.

"Eczema, also known as dermatitis, is a non-contagious, long-term dry skin condition," explains Alice Lambert, Head of Services at the National Eczema Society. "It's an individual condition, varying from person to person, and comes in different forms."

"Avoid added sugars and refined processed foods, as these can make eczema flare-ups much worse", says Holly Zoccolan, a nutritional health coach and founder of The Heath Zoc. "Focus on 'eating the rainbow' which means a wide range of different coloured fruits and vegetables to get antioxidants and nutrients into your system. In addition to this I'd recommend eating a diet high in fibre, with lots of healthy fats from avocados, nuts, seeds and extra virgin olive oil."

Sleep remedies
We talk to Étáin O'Dwyer, department manager for natural beauty with Wild Oats Natural Foods in Bristol, about natural products for sleep issues.

"Natural sleep remedies are definitely one of the most popular requests we get in store. Customers who are struggling with sleep issues will come to us for advice on suitable natural products that could help them to get a more restful night.

We will always talk to the customer about their problems to find out what things they have tried previously and how long the problem has been going on for. Then we will try to determine what the cause is in order to make suitable recommendations. Often stress is at the heart of sleep problems, so we will often recommend products that can ease the source of the stress."
