How to Undo an Early Social Security Claim

If you are within 12 months of claiming, you can undo it as if it had never taken place, or at least stop the checks and restart the clock on benefits growth. And if you're outside the window for a redo, you shouldn't necessarily stop working and you won't necessarily have reduced benefits. The same goes for anyone who's taken Social Security before full retirement age and wishes to return to work. Working can give benefits a boost. Barron's reporter Gail MarksJarvis has the details:
