November 15: Drink Bleach, Get Punched, Roll Safe


An edgy insult “Drink Bleach” and the classic punching game “The Circle Game” go head to head in this middle school version of "This Day in Meme History." But maybe the most iconic meme born on this day is one of Black Twitter’s greatest reaction images, “Roll Safe.” That’s all without mentioning the heartfelt sentiment “S[he] Be[lie]ve[d] (Sbeve)”, which was wonderfully woven out of a lover’s quarrel on this day as well.

It’s arguably not very chill, but the phrase “Drink Bleach” was first added to Urban Dictionary 17 years ago today.
