GLAMOUR South Africa

FROM THE EDITOR
I recently visited Bulawayo in Zimbabwe, and it felt good to travel and meet new people again. The trip made me realise just how much I'd missed dressing up and having personal conversations with like-minded people. During my short stay in Zim, I connected with young creatives and personalities doing amazing things in their chosen fields. The trip was inspiring, and I returned reminded why I enjoy doing what I do and how much power magazines such as Glamour have to connect creatives and creators across the continent.
As we approach the busy holiday season, I hope you get an opportunity to travel, explore unfamiliar territories and connect with people who'll nourish your mind and soul. It's important at this time of year, and it'll help you get a perspective of where you are in life and connect with like-minded people.

It's encouraging to see the world slowly open up again, and I'm looking forward to socialising with family and friends over great meals and drinks and enjoying long summer days at the beach.

Summer is also a busy time for entertainers and musicians, including our cover star DBN Gogo. The amapiano star has been making waves both locally and internationally, and her energy is contagious. Having found acclaim through the catchy dance sound of amapiano, DBN Gogo brings a unique brilliance and vibe to each set. She's just getting started and is someone to watch in the female DJs space.

Inside this issue, we raise the bar with stunning visuals and relevant content to end the year with a bang. We bring you shopping trends to help you shop smarter and inspire your summer wardrobe and beauty routine. We also give you career and money advice to guide you in making better financial decisions for the year ahead.

We also look back at the year that was, from brands we love to Pan-African fashion moments that made us proud. Most importantly, we had fun putting together this issue for you, and I hope you savour every page.

Have a great summer, and see you in 2022!
