You're Going To Love: Peachaus
In the latest of our series focusing on up-and-coming independent brands with female and non-binary founders, allow us to introduce you to Peachaus

What is it? A new ethical lifestyle label, providing sustainably-made underwear, sleepwear and leisurewear.

Who's behind it? Gillian Ridley Whittle who, after spending decades working in the corporate fashion world for the likes of Topshop and M&S, wanted to build a brand that offers beautiful yet functional clothing while helping to create a more positive fashion system.

Why you'll love it: Although we may be getting slowly reacquainted with our denim collection again, our lockdown-induced love affair with elasticated waistbands isn't going anywhere. Especially when said waistbands are crafted with sustainable practices and body positivity in mind – which is exactly what Peachaus is offering. Having officially debuted at the end of March, the brand is all about encouraging slow shopping and loving what you have. Committed to making pieces that last, but which still have a reasonable price tag, the entire range of pastel joggers (£75), embroidered sleep shorts (£30) and statement print leggings (£65) are crafted from ethically-sourced cotton, sustainable bamboo and recycled Italian lace – with the Betula bra (£55) and Betony briefs (£25) being some of Gillian's favourite pieces. "Everything we do is centred around connection and support for each other and for our natural world – we want to give back more than we take," she tells Stylist Loves. Bravo to that, we say. The best refillable fragrances for a more sustainable scent
The average person spends £400 a year on beauty products in the UK, so it's only a fair trade that we give back to the planet. Perfume is often overlooked when it comes to being more sustainable, but Mugler has been ahead of the game with its history of refillable fragrance bottles. Here are three of our favourites to stock up on…

Why you need to jump on the refillable fragrance hype

The beauty industry contributes a whopping 120 billion units of packaging a year, according to some estimates, but being kinder to the planet doesn't always require drastic life overhauls, and can even be enjoyable. Take fragrance aficionados Mugler for example. The brand has been offering refillable perfume options for over 30 years to offer a sustainable way to top up your favourite scent, so it makes sense they've become the UK's #1 refillable fragrance brand.

Their cult-classic fragrances including the jasmine-infused Alien and patchouli-scented Angel are now available to be topped-up on-demand, either in-store via the mystical-sounding Mugler Fountain, or at home with the 100ml refill bottle. Better still, Stylist readers receive 15% off online at Mugler* with the code STYLIST15. Who knew it could be this easy?

Say goodbye to single-use packaging with these zero-waste delivery and pick-up services

Before oat milk, almond milk and potato milk, there was a time when the milkman brought fresh pints of dairy to our homes while picking up any empty bottles to be reused. Now a new wave of eco-friendly services is channelling the retro delivery style by bringing refillable drinks, groceries and more direct to your doorstep. East London-based Draught Drop has been providing a subscription of local craft beers in two returnable 1L bottles (from £17) since 2020, but recently added refillable wines from independent vineyards, including Folc's English rosé (£19) and natural Albana orange wine (£15), which uses 80% less carbon emissions compared to single use alternatives. More into French varieties? Marcel the Wineman works in collaboration with indie wine merchant Made In Little France, offering a selection of red, white or rosé wines in reusable bottles that are ready to be swapped for freshly-filled versions on your next order.

And this eco-friendly model doesn't end at alcohol. Started by two Canadians who were less than impressed with the UK's excessive plastic use and lack of recycling, Charrli aims to eliminate unnecessary packaging by bringing zero waste essentials to your door, with all empties taken away with your next delivery. Similarly, Fair Well offers a variety of groceries and household items without packaging, while those outside of London can still enjoy a sustainable solution to their weekly food shop with online refill delivery service Unpckd. Easy and eco – what's not to love?
