While this means that many people have some sort of immunity to the virus, the CDC stressed that people should still get vaccinated, which provides the strongest protection. ➡️ The pandemic has had big effects on state preschool programs, with pre-K enrollment dropping for the first time in 20 years. States cut funding, but Congress helped plug the gap. Still, low-income families were hit hard. Russia's reputation as being highly advanced in spying and covert military operations has taken a hit since the country invaded Ukraine. At every step of the way, Ukrainians have been able to intercept Russian communications. The Los Angeles County sheriff is investigating a journalist who broke a story involving inmate abuse at the department. The decision has been condemned by the LA Times as an "attempt to criminalize news reporting."
