Since 2006, the Monash Gallery of Art (MGA) in Australia has supported contemporary photo-based artists through the William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize. This year, the prize pool has gone up to $45,000, with $30,000 awarded to the winning work, which will be acquired into MGA’s collection of Australian photographs. Entries are open through June 29th. The Pierre & Alexandra Boulat Award Established by the Pierre and Alexandra Boulat Association and sponsored by LaScam (société civile des auteurs multimedia), this award encompasses an €8,000 endowment. The grant will support one photographer in the creation of an original reporting project. Applications are due on June 22nd. The $5,000 Bob and Diane Fund Grant supports photographers telling vital stories about Alzheimer's Disease or dementia. “We are looking for projects that need support to complete, publish or exhibit,” the team explains. “These can be intimate stories of loss, as well as those that point out the urgency of a growing medical crisis for Alzheimer's and/or dementia.”...
