In South Carolina, Trump was 1-for-2 in his endorsements of challengers to incumbent members of Congress. But he saw more success in Nevada, where his allies won their primaries for governor, secretary of state and the senate. The number of Americans seeking abortions has risen for the first time in nearly 30 years. The stats come as Roe v. Wade's future is uncertain, but a report from the Guttmacher Institute lists several reasons for the rise, including increased abortion access in some states or the growth of abortion funds for low-income people. Biden is trying to pressure oil companies to boost supplies and lower prices in an attempt to control skyrocketing gas prices. In a letter, he said the nation's biggest refiners are "taking advantage of the crisis," but did not specify what his government would do to force changes. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy wants to lure companies headquartered in conservative states to move to his state, where employees would have abortion rights. His message was sent in a letter to nearly 60 businesses, as Americans wait for the Supreme Court's opinion on the future of Roe v.
