The E.U. asked its nations to begin rationing the use of natural gas, warning that Russia is using fuel exports to weaken support for Ukraine.

To avoid energy shortages that would stall economic growth and leave households cold in the winter as Russia weaponizes its gas exports, European countries should immediately start rationing use of the fuel, the European Commission said.
