A Lesson in Analogue
Ah, September. The month when things get on the move again after summer. Back to school, back to work, back to reality. But don't let life get you down! There's always something new and exciting to learn and keep you entertained in the Lomographic world. So let's go back to film photography school with some interesting ideas for analogue experimentation coming up!
Analogue Tutorials
There's Always an Experiment to Try
To be honest, there's not really much we would tell you not to do with a roll of film. Don't eat it. And don't leave it forgotten in a drawer somewhere…Apart from that, try whatever crazy idea comes to mind! One such wild experiment we tried recently was developing a black and white film in C-41 and a color film in B&W. Why, you ask? We just wanted to see what would happen! The results look pretty cool – we're seeing a ghostly effect on portraits and an intriguing timeless look overall.
Cross Processing Tips
There's Always an Experiment to Try
Did you get served up another plate of tasteless slop at lunchtime? Well, maybe you could use it to create your next analogue masterpiece! Soak your film rolls in any liquid concoction – things like washing liquid, soy sauce, fizzy drinks or lemon juice are usually popular. After soaking, dry it out then pop it in your camera then shoot and develop as normal. You'll be amazed at what comes out!
