"Don't listen to the critic in your head that says you can't draw, just practice, practice, practice! You might surprise yourself one day and discover that you can draw and it will lead you to a entire world of beauty and generous people who want to support your work."

"I would tell my younger self that curiosity and patience are key. Being an artist is a way of life; it is the curious way that an artist looks at life as well as the way an artist lives life. Life has times of wild creative abandon as well as downtimes of creative rest. It's perfectly ok to have time to rest in between creative time. One is always learning from everything, even in times of just observing rather than doing. Take time and appreciate every moment as it comes. Be patient, loving, and kind with your process always."

"Go with your dreams, in spite of others saying you won't make it economically. Art is a calling, and if you feel you cannot live without making art, then move mountains to do it. If you can recognize at an earlier age that you feel so strong about it, and recognize that it feeds your soul like no other, then work toward setting up your life, education, and workspace to honour that seed within yourself that wants and needs to grow."

"Practice your art everyday! Even if it's just a simple sketch. It becomes habit-forming, laying the groundwork for your future work!!! Don't wait for the perfect time, with all that life throws at you. I put a full-time design career and family needs ahead of everything else, which is great, but with small steps you can make it happen and family will support you. I'll admit, when the kids are younger, it's much more difficult to fit anything else into the schedule! But with small steps you can make it happen and family will support you."

For centuries , humans have used fish oils, orally or topically, to treat a wide array of ailments, from aches and pains to rickets and gout. The popularity of this supplement has shifted over the years, as have its primary uses. But over the past couple of decades, the hype around fish oil has arguably reached an all-time high. According to National Institutes of Health statistics , in 2012, at least 18.8 million Americans used about $1.3 billion dollars worth of fish oil, making it the third most widely used supplement in the nation. (Sales reportedly flattened out at about that level around 2013.) Today, many use it because they believe it will broadly help their heart health , but others hold that fish oil can help with renal health, bone, and joint conditions, cognitive functions and mental wellness, and any number of other conditions. But is fish oil really as good for you as millions of Americans believe it is? Who should be taking it and when? We dove into the research and

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. SEE ALSO: James Corden tests out gymnastics class for his son and is instantly showed up by children "I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that my 5 year old son knows this," Rohleder wrote. "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'" Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail .
