In today's Movie News Rundown: Snoop Dogg will soon join the pantheon of musicians with biopics; Ryan Coogler, Angela Bassett and Letitia Wright sit down to talk about how they made Black Panther: Wakanda Forever against all odds; Netflix's Our Universe trailer narrated by Morgan Freeman is out.


Congrats: To Ryan Stevens Harris, whose film Moon Garden won Best Feature Film and five other awards at FilmQuest. Moon Garden tells the story of a comatose young girl who must follow her mother’s voice through a transistor radio to escape a surreal industrial wonderland.


Snoop Dogg Biopic: If you thought Weird: The Al Yankovic Story was going to be the last music biopic on the horizon for a while, think again. The latest artist to follow the trend is the "Drop It Like It's Hot" and "Sensual Seduction" rapper.


Coronado Island Film Festival: Has announced its lineup and honorees. Sam Mendes’ Empire of Light is the opening night selection, Elegance Bratton’s The Inspection is the centerpiece, and Maria Schrader’s She Said is the closing night film, along with a screening of the classic Marilyn Monroe film Some Like It Hot.

Kid draws a hilarious family portrait, featuring his mother on her period

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. SEE ALSO: James Corden tests out gymnastics class for his son and is instantly showed up by children "I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that my 5 year old son knows this," Rohleder wrote.  "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'"  Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail .
