3 delicious small batch cookie recipes for every kind of chocolate lover

Home-baked goods are always a delight, but the lead-up to the finished product can be less than delightful. You can end up buying a bunch of ingredients that you end up never using again or maybe a recipe makes far too much in terms of quantity and you have to carry on eating that biscuit or cake long after the sweet craving has been satisfied. To avoid this, one recipe book has arrived to flip dessert on its head.

The first-ever winner of The Great British Bake Off, Edd Kimber is here to share his easy-to-make cookie recipes in his new book, Small Batch Cookies. These cookies are simple to make, with straightforward instructions and each recipe only ever makes a maximum of six biscuits. So, if you live alone, these recipes are perfect to satisfy your sweet tooth without going overboard. We've picked three of our favourite recipes from the book that you can try today, no matter what kind of chocolate lover you are.

Khaki is a key colour for autumn, and these are 9 of our favourite buys for the months ahead

Every autumn, we see our wardrobe colour palettes shift from bright and bold summer shades to deeper, richer hues, and the same colours seem to crop up every time. This season, however, khaki is taking centre stage, spearheaded by Saint Laurent, who created a safari shade-themed autumn/winter collection that commanded plenty of attention. Classing the colour as a neutral suddenly makes it seem much more wearable. Cream and beige shades look particularly chic, as does black for those who tend to lean towards a darker wardrobe. Brighter, bolder colours can also be styled seamlessly, with red being an inspired pick.

Led by the catwalks, the high street is now awash with the shade, with dresses, jackets, trousers and jumpsuits all making their way into some of our favourite stores. Here, we've listed the pieces that caught our eye.
