Whether you work from home or head into the office most days, lunch time can quickly become a bore. It's either the same old Pret sandwich, some leftovers from the night before or you end up spending half your pay check on something you actually want to eat; none of which are exactly ideal. But what if the usual midday suspects of soups, sandwiches and salads can be made into something a little more exciting? Statement shoes may come and go, but silver is a shade that stays in the footwear spotlight. After the popularity of silver shoes last season, bold metallics and shimmering silver sequins are still the stand-out styles of the season, thanks to Acne Studios, Christian Dior and Coperni's spring/summer 2024 shows. These designer labels have embraced silver as the standout hue, showcasing everything from sparkling Mary Janes to studded heels.
While they may appear tricky to style, selecting a shape that you know you will wear seems to be the key. Keep it simple with a basic ballet flat or cool cowboy boot, and wear as you would any beloved black version. When it comes to styling, pair the shimmery shade with denim – be it a maxi skirt or jeans – and it will make a striking statement that isn't too overpowering. Keep reading to discover our picks of the best silver shoes to buy now, from winter-ready boots to pretty ballerina pumps.
