Breaking: Trump’s Inauguration Moved Indoors Due to Frigid Temperatures

Monday’s presidential inauguration has been moved inside to the Capitol Rotunda due to freezing temperatures in Washington, D.C.

President-elect Donald Trump announced the move on Truth Social on Friday, explaining that there’s “an Arctic blast sweeping the Country” and he doesn’t “want to see people hurt” by the frigid temperatures.

“It is dangerous conditions for the tens of thousands of Law Enforcement, First Responders, Police K9s and even horses, and hundreds of thousands of supporters that will be outside for many hours on the 20th (In any event, if you decide to come, dress warmly!),” Trump wrote.

Weather services predict one to three inches of snow on Sunday ahead of the inauguration and temperatures in the teens with a windchill on Monday.

All other inauguration events will proceed as planned and the Capital One Arena will open on Monday for a live viewing of the event. The presidential parade will also be hosted at the arena, where Trump will make an appearance after he is sworn in.

Trump will still hold his last campaign rally at Capital One Arena on Sunday afternoon.

“Everyone will be safe, everyone will be happy, and we will, together, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump said.

Reagan was the last president to move his inauguration inside, when temperatures in D.C. dropped to 7 degrees with a windchill of -25.

Other inauguration preparations are well underway. Invited to Monday’s festivities are tech moguls Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg, foreign leaders including Argentina President Javier Milei and China’s Vice President Han Zheng, and internet superstars such as Jake and Logan Paul and Theo Von.
