| Hi! I am Emma Seymour, and I am the associate Textiles Lab director at the Good Housekeeping Institute. I've been evaluating bedding for years at GH. From testing countless pillows and sheets in our Lab to sleeping on all kinds of different mattresses at home, I know that the key to a good night's rest starts with the right bedding. And just in time for Sleep Week, I'm here to help you find yours with our 2025 Bedding Awards. |

The bedding experts and design pros in the Textiles Lab spent five months finding the top bedding products for the Good Housekeeping Bedding Awards, including supportive mattresses, fluffy comforters and innovative cooling beds. We evaluate each product in the Lab, assessing attributes like fabric strength, pilling resistance, washability, moisture management and more. We even completed 175 loads of laundry while testing these products! After ensuring the products are durable and quality made, we send them to sleep testers who try them out in their own homes, giving feedback on comfort, support, softness and more. This year, Good Housekeeping sent products to 600+ sleep testers, culminating in over 8,358 nights of sleep testing. Before making our final selections, we assess each product's in-Lab scores, consumer feedback and performance claims, considering qualities like quality, style, innovation and value. |
We know that many bedding products overpromise on performance, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. However, they fail to deliver. We go through all product claims with a fine-tooth comb to weed out misleading information to ensure you aren't getting duped. We feature products for all types of people, including hot sleepers, couples with different preferences and sleepers of all positions. Check out our latest Bedding Awards for this year's winners — starting at just $15. |

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. SEE ALSO: James Corden tests out gymnastics class for his son and is instantly showed up by children "I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that my 5 year old son knows this," Rohleder wrote. "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'" Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail .
