“TRANSITIONS” BY PATRICIA URQUIOLA FOR THE 15TH FLORENCE BIENNALE

At the 15th edition of the Florence Biennale – from 18th to 26th October – Patricia Urquiola presented “Transitions”, an installation dedicated to her design method, featuring the Babar table and the Shimmer mirrors and side tables, iconic pieces representative of her collaboration and research into glass transformations undertaken with Glas Italia.
Patricia Urquiola was also awarded the “Leonardo da Vinci” International Lifetime Achievement Award (Design) in recognition of her exceptional contribution to contemporary design.

Designed by Yabu Pushelberg for the 2025 collection, the wall units and coffee tables expand the ‘Ollie’ range.

All the elements in this series – the totem bookcase, console table, wall units and coffee tables – reveal an ingenious dialogue between lightness and solidity, between curved lines and precisely geometric volumes. Thanks to the sophisticated use of transparent and mirrored glass, colors and reflections blend together in a visually harmonious and extremely elegant effect.

SHERAZADE WALL PLUS

SHERAZADE WALL PLUS is one of the proposals in the interior glass partitions range designed by Piero Lissoni for Glas Italia.
The aluminum frame is divided into panels, combining rigorous design with decorative features, giving birth to real privacy oasis.
All the Glas Italia swing and sliding door models can be integrated into the wall partition systems and the glass is available in a wide selection of finishes.

Jolly guy's laugh is so contagious that even chickens had to join in

Imagine having a laugh so infectious, even animals join in on the fun.  Taken at what looks to be a kind of farming expo, this interviewee's laugh is so contagious, it managed to get the chickens going. Per Australia's Nine.com.au , the segment is from RTV Noord's Expeditie Grunnen. Mid-interview, the pair begin to laugh and everything just escalates from there. Kid draws a hilarious family portrait, featuring his mother on her period

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. SEE ALSO: James Corden tests out gymnastics class for his son and is instantly showed up by children "I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that my 5 year old son knows this," Rohleder wrote.  "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'"  Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail .
