This initiative focuses on developing standards and a strategic framework to promote the reuse of materials, adaptive design, and the extension of building lifespans, reducing life cycle environmental impacts. Visit https://cpci-learnondemand.com/learn/ to view all of the courses. ­ Prefab Feature: Harvestview Building By Steven Van Wyk, Quality Assurance/Plant Engineer at Stubbe’s The eight-storey Harvestview multi-unit residential building in Tillsonburg, Ontario consists of 132 units built using the ‘FastTrack by Stubbe’s’ precast concrete modular building system for its speed and economy of construction. It enables developers to build more efficiently at a competitive price by using optimized pre-designed modules that can be seamlessly interchanged. Mantle Developments conducted a whole-building life cycle assessment (WBLCA) of the Harvestview Building to quantify the upfront embodied carbon intensity (A1 A5).
