Through the years we have seen some impressive and rather captivating examples of architecture. Today we get a look at a unique design that offers a modern design and a rustic approach, providing a unique spot to call home. The Back Country House By LTD.Architecture is located in New Zealand’s Puhoi settlement and is modeled after the vernacular architecture of the region. The exterior features locally-sourced Macrocarpa timber cladding and a slanted galvanized iron roof.
This references the traditional huts found throughout the area. The two-story home finds the main living area with a lofted master bedroom above, while on each side of the ground floor folding glazed doors provides stunning views and access to the outdoors. The interior opens up to a wrap around deck with an outdoor fireplace and sunken baths. Check out this stunning home in the images below and give us your thoughts in the comments.
