Lockdowns. In a November 5 letter, Colorado's public health officials asked Governor Jared Polis to consider issuing tougher measures, including county-by-county lockdowns, to deal with rising COVID-19 cases. Despite the plea, Polis has indicated he is hesitant to enact such measures. (CPR)
City budget. On Monday night, the Denver City Council approved a 2021 operating budget for the city. The plan features a whole host of cuts, but more money has been allocated for some departments and initiatives, including housing, social services, health, and youth violence prevention. (Denverite)

Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all.
