The Dish: Sangrita Saloon Expanding Its Reach

February 2

The winter storm that dumped snow across the Northeastern edge of the country this week spared us much of its fury, but that didn't stop Midwesterners like me from leaning into the hygge. Out came the fire logs and mugs of hot chocolate. Candles lit, fluffy blankets piled on, and Nordic Noir movies queued up, we prepared to hibernate like ... well, like we have been doing for nearly a year now.

If you need a break from gazing at the Currier & Ives scene outside your window, don your furriest slippers and check out Kan-Kan's primer on this year's virtual
Sundance Film Festival; vicariously rough it with some wilderness cooking videos; or whip up some sheet-pan nachos with Indy's own A Couple Cooks. A snow day is perfect for catching up on your Shift Drink Podcasts or relaxing with some nice cheese-pull ASMR (Indy Pizza Blog is a good place to start). We have this shut-in thing down pat, and in some strange way, it has brought us closer together.
