It's pretty easy to overindulge at the holidays. (Right? It's not just me?) I always wish there were some sort of magic food that had all of the richness and flavor I expect in December but less of the artery-clogging and blood-sugar spiking. I'd never found it before now, but Oakland, California's own Edgar Castrejón may have. His creative Mexican cooking is tasty, belly-filling—and completely vegan. He shared a few dessert recipes with us that would be perfect to serve after a holiday feast. These treats are sweet, satisfying, and, by holiday standards, fairly healthy. Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all.
