Common Dietary Supplements are No Match for Statins in Combatting Cholesterol

A new study found that six dietary supplements commonly marketed as a way to lower cholesterol had no significant impact on levels of LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol, sometimes called "bad" cholesterol, compared to an inactive placebo.
