After an hours-long manhunt, the suspect — a 72-year-old man — was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. As police search for a motive, here's what we know. The FDA is considering a major shift in its COVID-19 strategy. The new approach would simplify vaccination guidance so that, similar to the flu vaccine, people would get a new shot every fall, updated to try to match whatever variant is dominant. Florida has rejected an AP course covering African American studies in schools, claiming it indoctrinates students to "a political agenda." Here's what actually is — and is not — in the course. Disproven claims about Donald Trump's loss in 2020, many debunked in real time by its own reporters, are part of Fox News' defense against a $1.6 billion lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems. A Navy veteran from New Jersey told NPR that Rep. George Santos — who went by Anthony Devolder — set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the veteran's dog in 2016. Santos never delivered the cash. The dog died months later.
