You SHOULD Ask. But Do You ONLY Ask?

Is Your Prayer-Life Too Petition-Heavy?  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

We are explicitly told to pray for "Our daily bread."

And to enter boldly before the throne of God.

To ask that we may receive.

But for many Christians, habit can lead to a prayer life that ends up more like a laundry list of requests than a deep communication with the Lord.

That's how  the four-part ACTS prayer plan can help. When followed, it'll give your prayers a more holistic structure and your prayer life a newfound depth.

The structure is simple:

1)    Adoration
2)    Confession
3)    Thanksgiving
4)    Supplication

Notice that the petitions are still there in Step 4, but the adoration, confession, and thanksgiving add much needed elements to our prayer life that we often forget when we skip straight to asking.
