After all these years, HBO is still the gold standard of quality television. Don't believe me? Currently carrying the baton of The Sopranos and The Wire are shows like True Detective: Night Country, which is the highest-viewed season of the franchise, The White Lotus, Mike White's satire about wealth, greed, Hawaiian shirts, and Jennifer Coolidge's greatness, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Just don't remind me that Curb is ending, OK? It's no secret that HBO continues to crank out incredible programming, but in a sea of streaming services, they rarely get their flowers nowadays. That ends here. With series like The Sympathizer and Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show promising to continue what's already been another stellar year for HBO, we decided to look back on the days of prestige TV's past. |

Chris and Rich Robinson claim it wasn't a big deal to get the wheels turning again, but it did take some attitude adjustment. "When we got back together," says Chris, "we didn't get on the phone and talk about it—'I love you, man. I'm sorry.' We're not like that. But at the same time, we have to be more like that. I'm learning, still, about communication, about empathy, about not falling into old habits in terms of how we deal with each other emotionally." The result is Happiness Bastards, the first new Black Crowes album in fifteen years and a return to their signature hard-charging riffs with echoes of Memphis soul and old-school barroom boogie. |

If you've ever tried marijuana in any form, then you know it's not the same as a beer. There's a fine line between being outgoing and buzzed and turning into the most introspective person in the room (who's also desperate for a nap). Five milligrams is considered a full dose, and you will probably feel its effects in 15 to 30 minutes. Do yourself a favor and wait a while before popping another drink. It's best to proceed into this world carefully, as with any unfamiliar drug. But once you find your rhythm, you just might open a new dimension to happy hour. |

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. SEE ALSO: James Corden tests out gymnastics class for his son and is instantly showed up by children "I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that my 5 year old son knows this," Rohleder wrote. "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'" Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail . The popularity of this supplement has shifted over the years, as have its primary uses. But over the past couple of decades, the hype around fish oil has arguably reached an all-time high. According to National Institutes of Health statistics , in 2012, at least 18.8 million Americans used about $1.3 billion dollars worth of fish oil, making it the third most widely used supplement in the nation. (Sales reportedly flattened out at about that level around 2013.) Today, many use it because they believe it will broadly help their heart health , but others hold that fish oil can help with renal health, bone, and joint conditions, cognitive functions and mental wellness, and any number of other conditions. But is fish oil really as good for you as millions of Americans believe it is? Who should be taking it and when? We dove into the research and
