Yesterday, I floated the idea of changing up your training routine.
I didn't want to make that email super long, so today I wanted to give you another idea:
Use p*ssy weights.
Ok, I'm joking a bit here.
But one way to provide your body with a new stimulus is to drop your ego and drop the poundages your using on exercises.
Focus extra hard on the mind-muscle connection.
Slow down the negative portion of each rep.
And pause at the bottom to totally eliminate using momentum, keeping your time under attention at a max
For example:
If you can use 70 lb dumbbells on flat bench flys, go with 50's.
From the top of the movement, bring the weitfs done nice and slow, taking around 3 second to lower them.
When you feel a nice stretch in the pecs at the bottom, pause for a beat before lifting he dumbbells back up.
Truth be told, you might have to drop the weights even lower than what you're currently using if you perform an exercise this way.
But plenty of legends swore by the fact that your body doesn't know the absolute weight of what you lift; it only recognizes how heavy it feels.
