Hello from Sunset Home & Design,   Layout is pretty much everything in a house. If you're working with a not-so-great floor plan, you know it can be a total nuisance. That's what happened in this 1980s Lake Washington home. Interior designer Shannon Adamson said originally it had a pretty decent layout overall, but there were some rooms that left a lot to be desired (i.e. the kitchen and laundry room).   So Adamson and her team got to work updating the space, making sure it was both functional and stylish. The kitchen now has a hard-working, large island. The laundry room floor space is optimized, allowing for more storage and even a place to wash boots (perfect for rainy Washington).
