Hi ,   Since 2017, my team and I have been offering immersive tea tours as part of our mission to showcase Nepal's emerging tea culture on the global stage. What started as a reward for a Kickstarter campaign has evolved into an annual tradition, attracting passionate tea enthusiasts from around the world.   These tours offer an intimate insight into the diverse landscapes and climates that shape the unique character of Nepali teas. Tea lovers from around the globe journey across the country, from low-elevation CTC farms to high-altitude orthodox tea gardens at 6500 feet. We have been told that the hands-on experience of picking, processing, and crafting tea over three days is both enlightening and humbling. The tours go beyond just learning the technical aspects of tea production! They offer a cultural immersion, revealing how Nepal, nestled between tea giants (China and India), is carving out its own identity and earning accolades on the global stage. So far, we have won over 20 international awards, including the prestigious Golden Leaf Awards.  Bob, who has been selling Nepali teas for seven years through Cornelia Beans, shared that seeing the extreme terrain of the tea plantations and the laborious work of the farmers gave him a newfound appreciation for the immense potential of Nepali tea production. "I learned a ton, but most of all, I gained so much knowledge about the growers and pickers, and how tea is appreciated in Nepal."    Tanya, a tea enthusiast in the US, was struck by the intensity of the plucking process at the farm. Seeing it in action gave her a newfound appreciation for the quality of Nepali teas. "It was fascinating to witness the production process firsthand, especially coming from the US, where most processing is automated." She notes how this experience highlighted the distinct character of Nepali teas. For me personally, these tours are a wonderful way to connect with people and partners who share a deep passion for Nepali teas. The relationships forged over the ten-day journeys are truly amazing. The tours also provide me with  valuable insights into the tastes and preferences of our partners and their customers in the US.   We invite you to join our next journey.
