| May 3, 2025 Welcome to Cosmo's shopping newsletter. I'm Meg Uy, a shopping editor here at Cosmo, and this is Let's Talk Shop—aka my tiny corner of the internet, where I share my favorite finds and current obsessions. If you've been subscribed for a while, things might look a bit different, but here's what you can look forward to: As an editor who tests products for a living, I'll be giving you the raw, unfiltered scoop on what's trending, what's worth buying, and what actually makes it into my cart. You'll also get a peek at my personal outfit snaps along the way. Today, I have for you In My Bag—a recurring series where I call out the stuff that's truly worth your time and money. With Mother's Day around the corner, I've rounded up sweet, editor-approved Amazon gifts that'll get to her in time. |

THE BEST LAST-MINUTE MOTHER'S DAY GIFTS FROM AMAZON |
She won't know you panic-bought these with one eye open in bed. |

Hello, fellow procrastinator—fancy seeing you here! Once again, we've found ourselves doing the same familiar song and dance: scrambling to shop for an annual holiday we've seen coming for weeks…if not months. (Or, dare I say, years?) This time, it's Mother's Day, which is coming up on May 11, meaning we have just one week left to go gift shopping. Thankfully, Amazon is the ultimate clutch-time gold mine. Especially if you're a Prime member, because that free two-day shipping is what gets us out of this procrastination bind every gift-giving season.
No matter how difficult your mother is to shop for, I've pulled together a list of thoughtful picks she'll actually love—like a self-heating mug and an indoor herb garden kit—and, more importantly, get in time. So what are you waiting for? |

Stella McCartney Mini Falabella Crinkled Patent Drawstring Tote Bag |
|
|
This week, the Stella McCartney Mini Falabella bag gets a Haul Pass from me—aka my stamp of approval for a luxury item that's actually worth the price tag. And if you're wondering where to find it…did you know The 'Zon has an official luxury section where you can snag designer clothes, shoes, accessories, and beauty products? So if you're looking to splurge on Mama Bear (or yourself, let's be so for real), I highly recommend this gorgeous little purse. It's the kind of piece that instantly adds a fun, chic pop to any outfit. (FWIW: I have the regular-size version in black, and it's been my go-to for nearly a decade.) The mini version fits all the essentials—phone, keys, wallet, and a couple of travel-size makeup touch-up must-haves, making it the perfect grab-and-go accessory for anyone who needs a bag that can do both (be cute and functional). |

Imagine having a laugh so infectious, even animals join in on the fun. Taken at what looks to be a kind of farming expo, this interviewee's laugh is so contagious, it managed to get the chickens going. Per Australia's Nine.com.au , the segment is from RTV Noord's Expeditie Grunnen. Mid-interview, the pair begin to laugh and everything just escalates from there. Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. SEE ALSO: James Corden tests out gymnastics class for his son and is instantly showed up by children "I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that my 5 year old son knows this," Rohleder wrote. "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'" Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail .
