One of the many consequences of the two Trump administrations is the wide-spread embrace of all-caps. The president deploys them LIBERALLY; he has turned the practice into a wanton ART FORM. On Tuesday, his education secretary, Linda McMahon, peppered a letter to Harvard with all-cap invectives. "Why is there so much HATE?" She wrote to the university's president. The letter is the latest salvo in the administration's war against the Ivy League. In his singular voice, Esquire's political columnist, Charles P. Pierce, takes apart McMahon and her efforts. You can check out his deep read of McMahon's letter here.– Michael Sebastian, editor-in-chief Plus: |

Meet the muscle end of the business, folks. |
As was said during the last time around, so it must be said today. "Nothing but the best people" never will not be funny. That we have a secretary of education whose only experience in education is teaching preadolescent boys to jump on each other's heads, and that she now is the willing vehicle for a half-mad walking Newsmax talking point, are for the moment unsolvable problems. But I would call your attention to McMahon's letter itself. It is proof either that the secretary of education didn't get anywhere near enough education or that she hired on some Artificial Intelligence that was Genuine Stupid. |

| Let me tell you about my favorite T-shirt ever. It isn't the T-shirt that we've raved about here before—although that one is admittedly great, I have luxurious tastes. I want a tee that feels as good as it performs, that looks like it was tailored just for me. That T-shirt, my friends, is Buck Mason's Field-Spec 90s Boxy Heavy Tee. |

Take a long, hard look around your home right now. Is it thoughtfully curated, or is it filled with random purchases thrown together over the years? Does your couch match your rug? Have your pillows lost their fluff? Are you drinking from a water filter that you haven't replaced in God knows how long? We know you don't make home purchases (good ones, that is) often, which is why it's so easy to get lost in the end result. It's time to take control and get a space you're proud of. That's where we come in. |

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. SEE ALSO: James Corden tests out gymnastics class for his son and is instantly showed up by children "I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that my 5 year old son knows this," Rohleder wrote. "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'" Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail .
