| July 19, 2025 Welcome to Cosmo's shopping newsletter. I'm Meg Uy, a shopping editor here at Cosmo, and this is Let's Talk Shop—aka my tiny corner of the internet, where I share my favorite finds and current obsessions. This week, we're diving into summer bedding because my, oh, my, has it been a scorcher this year. And personally, my entire mood (and, let's be honest, personality) is deeply influenced by my bed situation. Anyone who's ever woken up in a pool of sweat can relate. When the temps rise, I'm all about maximizing airflow and keeping things cool and breezy. Below, I've picked out the best sheets, comforters, duvets, and pillows to help you beat the heat and create the ultimate sleep sanctuary too. Got a trend you need broken down? A must-have item you're hunting for? Hit me up at meg.uy@hearst.com! |

Summer might be the season of sunshine, vacations, and Love Island—but when it comes to sleep, it can be a total buzzkill. Take it from me, a Certified Sweaty Girlie who knows how make-or-break your bedding choices are this time of year. The last thing I want is to feel hot, sticky, and uncomfortable during precious REM time! So if you are a fellow sweaty sleeper, naturally run hot, or just craving a bed reset, I'm here to help you sleep cooler and better. The secret sauce? Breathable, lightweight fabrics. Linen, bamboo, and cotton are the golden tickets thanks to their ability to regulate temperature, wick away moisture, and allow for circulation. Bonus points if it has a percale weave because that makes it extra crisp and cooling! Personally, I love linen for how soft it feels against my skin without making me overheat. Even when it's warm out, I still want to feel cozy and snuggly—just not like a melted ice cream cone. That's why finding the right materials makes all the difference in staying comfortable through the night. Now, allow me to put you on to some of my favorite bedding for summer. |

Malls, stop putting wedge sneakers in your displays. We don't wanna see that. Jar openers don't actually make opening jars easier. - Half the people who claim to love A24 movies just want to seem deep.
- Birthday parties are instantly better when they're themed.

Imagine having a laugh so infectious, even animals join in on the fun. Taken at what looks to be a kind of farming expo, this interviewee's laugh is so contagious, it managed to get the chickens going. Per Australia's Nine.com.au , the segment is from RTV Noord's Expeditie Grunnen. Mid-interview, the pair begin to laugh and everything just escalates from there. Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. SEE ALSO: James Corden tests out gymnastics class for his son and is instantly showed up by children "I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that my 5 year old son knows this," Rohleder wrote. "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'" Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail .
