You made this happen: 1,003 acres protected!

Panther Tracks. Working Lands. Protected.

Thanks to you, we’ve saved AP Ranch — a 1,003-acre working ranch in Highlands County where critically endangered Florida panthers have been spotted on trail cameras.

Now, this land is protected forever.

And it’s not just for panthers. AP Ranch is home to black bears, crested caracara, eastern indigo snakes, and even the rare Arcadian St. John’s-wort.

Why Does This Matter?

🐾 Panthers have fewer than 230 left in the wild. This ranch gives them more room to roam.

🔗 It sits next to 40,000+ acres of already conserved land, helping connect wildlife corridors.

💧 The wetlands on AP Ranch help clean and recharge Florida’s water, flowing into Fisheating Creek.

🐮 It proves that ranching and conservation can thrive together.

AP Ranch is located in Highlands County, adjacent to Archbold Biological Station

Thank YOU!

We’re deeply grateful to the generous landowners of AP Ranch, the Department of Defense, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), and to YOU — who truly made this conservation possible.

We purchased a conservation easement on this vital stretch of connected lands, and now it will remain wild forever.

Together, we’ve created something powerful — a win for Florida’s wildlife, water, working lands, and future generations.

With gratitude,

The Conservation Florida Team
