After years of bulky tool watches captivating collectors and normal guys alike, low key dress watches are having a moment. That's great news for watch nerds and style hounds looking for something different (not to mention celebrities wearing them to flex on the red carpet). But it's equally great news for casual consumers, because there are still some amazing deals to be had on underappreciated vintage models. Case in point: the Omega De Ville. Click through to learn how the mid-century gem can be yours for an absolute steal. — Jonathan Evans, style director Plus: |

It's one of the top sold models on Vestiaire Collective for a reason. |
This week, luxury second-hand retailer Vestiaire Collective dropped its 2025 men's resale report; needless to say, there were plenty of nods to vintage watches. It goes without saying that Cartier Tanks and Rolex Datejusts get a mention—they're both in the "most-liked" section, naturally—but one of the models in the mix gets a little less fanfare than its counterparts: the Omega De Ville. In contrast to the Swiss brand's hallowed Seamaster and Speedmaster models, the De Ville is a slim dress watch that usually comes with a leather strap rather than a chunky metal bracelet. It actually started life in the Seamaster family in the early '60s before Omega doubled down on the sporty vibe for the Seamaster proper and launched the De Ville as a standalone in '67. |

| I've professed my love of both Wrangler jeans and Filson jackets and everything those two brands are built on. At the launch party for this collaboration, held at Filson's New York City flagship, I was the guy saying the store could "smell more authentic." (Too many Lone Stars, apologies.) I was the guy digging through the propped magazine racks to see how well the Filson corporate designers are making this metropolitan flagship feel like an Alaskan fishing outpost. (They get Backcountry Journal and Virginia Sportsman delivered to the store, but I'd like to see some copies of The Drake or a bit of Field & Stream, especially the vintage copies.) I digress. What I actually want to say is that the clothes are incredible. The campaign tagline is "West x Northwest," and it's exactly that. It's denim meets waxed cotton and blanket linings, clothing you'd imagine seeing in The Hateful Eight or in pictures of the bounty hunters that went to grab outlaws like Boone Helm that ran for Canada, not Mexico. It's workwear, yeah, but around here waxed jackets and denim are regarded as highly as the high-fashion stuff. |

Stephen Miller forever will be the primary poison behind an increasingly empty throne, but now that the Big Ruckus is upon us, we should not sleep on Russell Vought, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, the brains behind Project 2025, and an almost perfect exemplar of the soulless bureaucrat who causes human damage as easily as he breathes. Vought couldn't care less if every family dependent on WIC died by the side of the road. He might be a bit more gingerly in approaching military pay, but I wouldn't bet real money on it. Vought is an uncompromising ideologue dedicated to some pretty destructive notions on how the country should be run. |

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'" Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail . Imagine having a laugh so infectious, even animals join in on the fun. Taken at what looks to be a kind of farming expo, this interviewee's laugh is so contagious, it managed to get the chickens going. Per Australia's Nine.com.au , the segment is from RTV Noord's Expeditie Grunnen. Mid-interview, the pair begin to laugh and everything just escalates from there.
