I love to start my days with a slow morning… I don't work 9–5 hours, so my mornings often start slower to balance out the late finishes. If I've had a busy week, I'll usually start my days off by sleeping in and resting, but if I'm feeling energised, I'll start the day with a barre or pilates class. I love to take a little time to meditate, journal and get organised – it helps me reset and feel grounded again.
My go-to breakfast is… a protein smoothie, especially when I've got a little more time. Most days, though, I'll start with a proper coffee (always with lion's mane) and eggs. If I've got a day off, in an ideal world I'll head out for breakfast – there's something special about that ritual of sitting somewhere cosy with great coffee and good food. It's also one of my favourite ways to catch up with friends and start the day feeling connected.
The biggest lesson I've learned about health and fitness is… don't wait to 'feel like' it. Whether it's a run, a class or any kind of movement – just start. The motivation and good feeling usually come after, not before. I always say emotion is energy in motion, and the quickest way to shift how you feel is simply to move.
When I need to relax and recharge I… always turn to meditation, journaling, visualisation and a good stretch. Those simple rituals help me reconnect with myself and feel grounded again. The perfect day for me would include a little lie-in and some time with my husband, maybe a long dog walk followed by lunch out. I love cooking dinner for my family and ending the evening with a film – simple things that make me feel connected and content.
