Going to the gym and looking (and feeling) like a bum is the last thing you need when you're trying to make working out a priority. It might sound silly, but something as simple as wearing the right outfit for the right class really does make all the difference. So to make sure you start your 2026 resolutions off right, we rounded up the brands that make the best workout clothes. You'll still have to get yourself to the gym, though. —Krista Jones, commerce director Plus: |

From big names like Nike to up-and-comers like Bandit Running, these are the names to know. |
So you made it to the gym. Good. That's half the battle to get in shape. As long as you show up and do something consistently, you'll chip away at that New Year's resolution. The remaining part of this is some combination of actually working out while you're there (keep the phone in your bag), diet, and, because this is Esquire, looking the part. A raggedy cotton tee, old gym sweats, and Chuck Taylors—that's a look, but it's tough to pull off. For most of the population, there's a lot of value in a put-together gym set with the best sweat-wicking and comfort-stretching material on the market. Dress up like you're about to hit the combine and your workouts will naturally follow suit. To help you sort through the more technical side of workout gear and assemble a complete wardrobe of the best gym clothes, we picked out our favorite gym brands for you below. From Lululemon's iconic joggers to Nike's classic basketball shorts, these are the best workout clothes for men—from our favorite tried-and-true brands. |

| Vecna, Demogorgons, and alternate universes. It's not Dungeons & Dragons we're talking about here, but the end of Stranger Things. With its finale now streaming on Netflix, the story of Stranger Things and the weirdness that grips Hawkins, Indiana is now complete. But that doesn't mean Stranger Things is over. The question on everyone's minds (flayer) right now is: Will Stranger Things continue? For starters, it's safe to squash the possibility of a sixth season. The Duffer Brothers said back in 2022 that season 5 is the conclusion of the main story. But there was never any ruling out of spin-offs or other stories set in the same universe. Here are all the different ways Stranger Things can—and will—continue after season 5. |

The 40s are a consequential decade for a man. If you're lucky, your life is only half finished. The previous decades were prologue. You've earned a measure of gravitas, but these are the years when everything really starts to matter—your job, your family, your health. This is the age at which people will always remember you, as if frozen in amber. So you'd better look your best. How you dress in your 40s should reflect both your years of experience as well as the fact that you're not old. Yes, it's a curious place to be. Some men give up on style around this time; others continue dressing as if they haven't aged. Don't do either of those things. Remember: There is power in being in your 40s. Your body may have changed in the past decade, but so too have your budget and your confidence. This is the era in which you buy nice clothes that make you look good. It should be the best you've ever dressed. |

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all.
