There's a big winter storm heading for the east coast this weekend. I've stocked up on all the essentials: bread, eggs, Trader Joe's mac 'n' cheese. But I still need to make a run to the liquor store. Because if I'm going to be trapped indoors by a foot of snow, I better have a stiff drink in hand. Luckily for me, Esquire contributor Brad Japhe collected a handful of tasty recipes that utilize Campari. Instead of watching the precipitation out my window, I'll close my eyes and imagine I'm lounging on the Italian coast. Find your next favorite beverage below. —Chris Hatler, deputy editor |

The Negroni and Boulevardier are classics for a reason. But maybe it's time to mix up another one of our favorite recipes. |
Few are the liquids that carry the barroom lore of Campari. The celebrated bitter liqueur has been a cocktail staple for over 150 years. It was popularized by its eponymous inventor, Gaspare Campari, on the crowded sidewalks and throughout the boisterous cafes of 1860s Milan. In the 20th century, Campari was busy working its way into some of the most classic drink recipes on earth, including the Americano, Negroni, and Garibaldi. Its presence within any self-respecting cocktail parlor soon became obligatory. And the ease with which it added complexity to arrangements meant it was almost equally indispensable for the home bar. We've got you covered with the 14 best Campari cocktails, including detailed recipes from some of the most talented bartenders in the game. Aperitivo hour begins below. Ciao! |

| It is a truth universally acknowledged that a man in possession of good fortune must be in want of a good topcoat. Jane Austen said something like that, right? Point is, a topcoat is the marker of a man. It's the distinguishing factor between a boy who throws on a non-weather-appropriate zip-up hoodie and calls it a day and a man who has a go-to coat, the perfect final layer, the crisp, clean last piece to the puzzle that brings his entire look together for winter. The right topcoat isn't a piece you bring out once a year when winter calls for it (even though it's really calling for it right about now); it's a closet staple, worn time and time again, just as wearable with denim as it is with silk, just as chic with sneakers as it is with loafers. Works with a tuxedo; works with a hoodie. A good topcoat should be warm, cozy, and durable. A great topcoat should be fashionable and versatile.

What horrors will this year bring? Luckily, if they only take shape on the big screen (unlikely), we won't have much to worry about. The success of the horror genre in recent years has proven that people will swarm to the theater to get scared silly, and they're craving that cathartic release. There's a lot to look forward to in this year's lineup of scary movies. Sam Raimi will return to the horror genre for the first time in 17 years with Send Help. There's no shortage of iconic franchises getting new installments this year either, with Scream 7 and Resident Evil. Below, we count down the scariest of the bunch that we're excited for this year. |

Periods are normal, but kids pointing them out in their sketches is something else. Australian woman Penny Rohleder shared a photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook page of blogger Constance Hall on Jul. 25, which well, says it all. "Julian drew a family portrait. I said 'What's that red bit on me?' And he replied, real casual, 'That's your period.'" Well, at least he knows. To give further context, Rohleder revealed she had pulmonary embolism in October 2016, and was put on blood thinning treatment which makes her periods "very, very bad," she explained to the Daily Mail .
