We live with so many things, but only a handful move with us through life: from one home to another, from one chapter to the next. In our latest issue, arriving on newsstands later this month, we've produced a special publication titled A Chair For Life. It traces the story of CH24, more commonly known as the Wishbone chair, designed in 1949 by Hans J Wegner and produced since then by Carl Hansen & Søn. That's 76 years in continuous production. What captivates us most about CH24 is its resilience and adaptability. Rather than being replaced, it is made to be endlessly repaired as it takes on what life throws at it. It sits at kitchen tables and in boardrooms, in first apartments and final homes. It becomes part of the background to ordinary and extraordinary moments alike. To mark the publication, we'll gather at Carl Hansen & Søn's flagship store in Omotesando for a celebratory evening to reflect on this enduring piece of design history over drinks.
